This course is accompanied by a wind tunnel experiment that aims to demonstrate some basic aspects of car aerodynamic. The model is a remote controled car, supported by a 6-component load sensor. The effect of several parameters on the aerodynamic forces and moments can be investiged. The parameters include windspeed, yaw angle, wheel rotation, angle of the front wheels, airfoil and external rear-view mirrors.
